Jimmy Jet
Generally, the week between Christmas and the new year gives pause for reflection. The picture of me above represents the culmination of a 59-year dream of owning a plane. It happened this year. This Christmas, I was thinking back to my favorite present ever. It was a “Jimmy Jet” toy given to me when I was six years old (see the picture above of that 1963 vintage toy). It sparked the dream of someday having a plane that lasted nearly 60 years. Every time a plane crossed the sky I had to look up. Keep the faith, friends, and keep looking up…
False dreams fail us; lost dreams derail us; stolen dreams demoralize us. The dream is everything, so don’t be surprised by the myriad distractions, challenges, and adversities during the treasure hunt. Keep looking, keep hoping, keep listening to your heart, and keep seeking the pure glimpses of heaven all around you that serve as breadcrumbs from God as you seek your dream.
