Missing Moments
“…on the ranch the roads were too bumpy to be in a hurry. Maybe the pace of life is relative to the roads we choose to drive. Whereas good roads may quicken our step to our next destination, Gandhi once said, ‘There is more to life than increasing its speed.’”
Commentary:
I remember one of the cornerstone moments of my faith journey. I was talking to God and asked Him this question. “Why do I love you so much but feel so little joy?” The answer was quick and simple, “I am in the present, you aren’t here.” I realized at that moment I was missing moments… missing joy. My mind was always out in front of the “present.” How is the pace of the road you are on?
