Home

This is the third in a series documenting Karen and my Spirit-led journey through the Midwest and Rockies. The final week took us to Cody, Wyoming, to meet with our movie director for the first time in 13 years. We reminisced with tears and hugs. I was a first-time author, and he was a first-time Director. God put us together for a great purpose.

Driving south, we visited Yellowstone, Jackson Hole, Moab, and Santa Fe, marveling at this vast, diverse, and beautiful country.

Today we ended our journey in Utopia, Texas, home to our souls. While we don’t live here anymore, we are home. In the end, driving through the hills leading into Utopia spoke to me deeply. Home is a place of roots, and relationships, memories. This is my place. It’s where I am inspired. It’s where God chose to change my life. It’s where I receive revelation. It’s the home of our ministry, this blog, deep friendships, and my heart. It is a deep place. It is a fitting close to our amazing journey, following the Spirit day by day, from person to person, and from surprise to surprise along the way. My heart is full today; we are home in Utopia. I feel close to God and thankful for this grand adventure with Karen and this sacred village in the Hill Country of Texas.

In the end, I was reminded that the greatest adventures in life are Spirit-led, and there really is no place like home.
