Razor's Edge

Life sometimes turns on a razor’s edge, for me it had been a fork in the road. So often at day’s end we stare at the back of the tapestry of our lives trying to make sense of the meaningless meanderings of the thread. And then one day it happens. Through a messenger or experience we hear the clear voice of God calling us to take a peek at the other side of the tapestry. And when we do we are undone by the beauty of the story being woven. And the meaning of a life of inconsequential coincidences emerges into an epic adventure with a purpose and calling worth living for.

Today’s excerpt comes from the web site: didhemaketheputt.com where I read the answer to the question, “Did he make the putt?” from the cemetery at the Links of Utopia golf course. Click on it if you haven’t been there yet. I felt it was important for the times we find ourselves in today. Actually, it is a universal time of reflection like never before. Life just turned on a razor’s edge for all of us. During this time I believe God is calling each of us to take a peek at the other side of the tapestry to see that your life matters, that there is a beautiful story (testimony) being written. Your story is full of purpose and calling. While many of you feel insignificant, small, and forgotten these days God has a different message for you. You matter and He has just been waiting for you to ask for a peek at the bigger story He is writing… and in that story, you have a part… a hugely significant part. Begin to look at what you have called coincidences in life and see the awe-inspiring weaving that God has been creating with His divine intervention. Ask for more, look for more, and ask God specifically to show you more of the dreams He has for your life. When you do, what is going on in the world today will be seen as a miraculous defining moment in your life and mine… not the end, but the beginning.

“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me: your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

Psalm 23:1-4 NIV
