Rescue
I am working on a new book. It will be a follow-up to “greatness.” It will target parents, mentors, and leaders. The working title right now is “Raising greatness.” Here are a few lines from the book in progress that I hope encourage your heart today:
The sound or sight of expressed calling resonates with such power that it literally invades the prison doors of closed hearts. It becomes the inspiration for freedom from the cell. Light causes the darkness to flee, and the scales fall from the eyes of those touched. The ways of God are otherworldly, for sure. To see this chain reaction take place is a confirmation of the Almighty’s pleasure in partnering with us in this rescue mission for humanity.
A major part of every person’s dream is to be a rescuer. It is the heart of God. He rescued the world through Jesus. It was His plan from the beginning of time. Man thought it would be through force, but it came through love. God's heart gets planted inside us as we seek Jesus, and this new heart is a heart of rescue. God then provides unique ways for each of us to be a rescuer. For the girl, it was music, and music was part of God’s dream for her. His many and unique dream gifts for mankind are endless. What an adventure to seek Him on behalf of our children, spouse, and others that He strategically puts in our path. And then, with the wisdom of God, call out these dream gifts that will be used in the rescue mission of God for the hearts and souls of man.
Total transformation is what God is after. The dramatic is His calling card. Shattering prison walls and restoring dreams is His great desire for every human born on the face of the earth. He changes atmospheres; when He does, new life explodes, new purposes emerge, and calling replaces addiction.
