The truth was that I was comfortable with what I had. Comfort zones are just that—comfortable. And so is tradition. It is safe, a great place to hide. But it is also the enemy of innovation and the destroyer of new thought. It can hold back the wisdom of creativity and squelch the dreams of man. And in the long run, it could conceivably steal talent.
— Seven Days In Utopia - Pg. 84

Commentary:

Tough times break us out of our comfort zones. Tough times often prove that traditional methods have become irrelevant. And tough times often lead to our greatest growth in life. When we walk into a challenging environment we are like the author of a dictionary. We get to define the situation. We can create dread or optimism, fear or faith, doubt or confidence from our definition choices. The power we possess is immense, it literally can change a destiny.  Even though I lost my dad tragically to Covid last November, I’ll define 2020 as the year my destiny changed. It was a year that I severed ties with old traditions and comfort. It was a year of new beginnings—new wine in new wineskins... As I look back I can see with 20/20 vision now, and I can make a toast to a tough year.

“…no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins..”
Luke 5:37-38
