Half-Mast
My heart is unusually heavy today. Utopia’s neighboring town is Uvalde, Texas. It’s where the Utopia town folks often go to shop and dine. Several families in Uvalde drive over to our church, Living Waters, in Utopia. So today, as I was contemplating what to write, all I could see was a flag at half-mast. We will pause today and remember the families of Uvalde. We will pause and realize that we live in a battle between good and evil. But more than anything we can be assured that the love of God covers all fear. It gives us hope to move when our hearts are paralyzed. Please take these verses to heart today. Encourage those with whom God crosses your path, speak life into the brokenhearted, assure the fearful, and stand firm in the strength of Jesus in this world that is desperately looking for hope… for truth. They need you.
