Commentary:
Do you have a solitary place where you go to think? Over the past 15 years, I have been receiving revelational downloads on a driving range. Not just any range, an out-of-the-way range and nine-holer in Utopia, Texas. The course, which used to be a goat ranch, could kindly be called minimalist. Its setting, among the majestic oaks of the Sabinal Valley, is truly heavenly. It is a sweet spot for creative thought and audacious ideas. Utopia is the birthplace of my two novels and movie about golf, life, and faith. Its serene setting has become a destination for thousands of sojourners. They come seeking divine revelation. They leave deeply moved by the significance of their own story. The Utopia mystique has become an epicenter for revelations. My prayer is that this spring you find such a place that grabs a hold of your imagination and feeds your soul.
