Today’s quote and the following two paragraphs come from a new book I am working on. I thought it would be apropos during this weekend as we enter another year dreaming about what will be…
False dreams fail us, lost dreams derail us, stolen dreams demoralize us. The dream is everything so don’t be surprised by the myriad of distractions, challenges, and adversities during the treasure hunt. Keep looking, keep hoping, keep listening to your heart, and keep seeking the pure glimpses of heaven all around you as you seek your dream. And once you find it, hang on to it and let it be a light that awakens another.
Our personal dream guardians stand like pillars in the history of our dreams. Their influence ushers in defining moments of our caught dreams. All dream catchers eventually become guardians—it's God’s way. And every guardian will tell you, inspiring and cultivating dreams in others, eventually becomes an upgrade to their initial caught dream. It is a step up in the life-giving chain. Catching a dream is one thing, seeing it being used to bring another into eternity is otherworldly. Arriving in heaven one day will leave you speechless, seeing others there because of you will be priceless—the ultimate reward. Nothing else will matter at that moment. To become a guardian is to know God fully. It is the place of the “full life” of which Jesus spoke. Dream guardians are the trail masters of life.
“The lovers of God who chase after righteousness will find all their dreams come true: an abundant life drenched with favor and a fountain that overflows with satisfaction.”
